POSITION SUMMARY: Oversees the Social Service Department by providing leadership through planning, organizing, coordinating, directing and reviewing the policies, program activities, and operations of the Social Services Department; oversees administrative, functional and programmatic activities through the Social Services staff; advises Bear River governing bodies; enlists Tribal Member interest in and support of the objectives of the Social Services Department; represents the Tribes interest before various Social Services related bodies and committees on social service matters; and performs related work as required. Perform Social Services Department administrative duties, such as approve timesheets, complete job performance evaluations, interview job applicants with Human Resources in hiring process, write job descriptions, train and integrate new staff into the department and other administrative duties, as needed.
