What we’re looking for: Basic Required Qualifications: A junior economist who will progressively lead the research and analysis of economic and financial trends and developments in key Latin American economies Must be fluent in English & Spanish/Portuguese (written & verbal) Prepare written reports and blogs for publication on economic and market trends in economies under coverage Prepare, maintain, and update PowerPoint and other presentations for internal and external use, including helping to prepare inputs to our flagship Credit Conditions Committee Build our brand by developing relationships with thought leaders and officials in those countries under coverage (central banks, national statistical offices, academic researchers) Experience (1-2 years) as a professional economist in a combination of roles in the private financial sector, central banking, and international organizations (recent graduates also considered) Advanced degree (preferably a PhD) in economics from a top-tier university Programming skills (python preferred) Excellent public speaking skills/track record and strong communication skills Right to Work Requirements: This role is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States, Mexico, or Brazil.
