Minimum Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, counseling, social work or a human services field OR a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired - Minimum two to four years of related experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired - Strong supervisory, interpersonal, training and support skills - Comfort with public speaking and ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups outside the organization Performance Requirements: • Recruit, train, support and supervise a sufficient number of hospice volunteers of the UVMHN Home Health & Hospice to meet the needs of our clients in Chittenden and Grand Isle Counties and residents of the McClure Miller Respite House • Participate as a team member on the Hospice Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) and act as a communication link and resource between the IDT and volunteers - Identify the needs of the hospice volunteer services to clients/families and match volunteers to those needs - Maintain volunteer related records including recording volunteer services to clients • Conduct volunteer performance evaluations and meet with volunteers to provide support and feedback • Serve as program liaison and representative to community, state and national organizations and programs • Serve on the volunteer committee • All other duties as assigned by supervisor The UVM Health Network - Home Health & Hospice helps people live their fullest lives by providing innovative, compassionate care wherever they call home.
