Construction Quality Control Manager Overview
Construction Quality Control Managers are responsible for ensuring that all quality control tasks are carried out, documenting the construction process and inspecting each stage of construction. Construction Quality Control Managers must also work directly with other managers to ensure that all projects meet the minimum standards of quality set forth by the company. They must balance quality control standards, productivity and scheduling demands.
Construction Quality Control Manager Educational Requirements
The majority of Construction Quality Control Managers hold bachelor's degrees in business administration or a related field. In addition, there is a middling amount of on-the-job training given by most companies because the quality control standards are different based on industry and company. The ability to work well with other people is beneficial as constant contact with other managers is required. Organizational skills and an eye for detail can be helpful in the documentation process. A knowledge of federal safety and quality laws can be a plus for those trying to break into the field.
