1) Cultural Leadership • Drive culture formation in associates via cultural development systems • Drive mission, vision, and values engagement with associates • Drive cultural accountability via regular meetings with associates 2) Performance Leadership • Assist in sourcing new associate candidates, interviews, hiring and discipline/termination • Identify policy and procedural gaps inside store processes • Drive performance accountability via regular meetings with associates 3) Administration • Open and close the store • Assist with scheduling, payroll and other “back office” duties as needed 4) Drive Operational Excellence Throughout the Store • Drive adherence to process and procedure for effectiveness and efficiency of receiving, processing and retail operations • Drive an exceptional donor/customer experience • Be maniacal about cleanliness, order, convenience, safety, kindness, knowledge and exceptional customer service • Primary point of responsibility for physical interior excellence of the store • Work regular hours in all areas of the store: receiving, processing & retail • Drive an exceptional customer experience in the Retail side of the store 5) Propel Revenue and Profitability Growth • Identify gaps in processes/systems hindering revenue/profitability growth • Connect revenue & profitability growth with missional impact Note: Incumbent must be willing to execute other duties as assigned by the Store Manager. Vapor’s Thrift Store location Retail Assistant Manager will assist the Store Manager to drive revenue and profitability growth, targeting increased profit generation for the ministry, and driving Vapor’s preferred culture.
