Additional Field Engineer duties shall include but are not limited to the following: Evaluate sites for the installation of equipment Install applicable equipment (with racks if needed) Perform onsite testing of equipment and coordinate with other engineers Install and connect applicable cables Coordinate pick-up and delivery of equipment Troubleshoot network connectivity issues You’ll Bring These Qualifications: Requires 6 years’ experience as a field engineer supporting technical programs, however expertise, training and actual work experience with specific systems and/or technology is significantly more important than the number of years of experience Experience in IP Related Services: TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, PPP, and SIP (Desired) Experience installing and maintaining Cisco routers and switches (Desired) Experience with UPS systems and AC/DC power systems, to include installation/connection (Desired) Working knowledge of CAT 5, CAT 6, and Fiber Optic cable, connectors, and demonstrated capability of fabricating required equipment Experience using Remedy, VISIO, and MS Office While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to handle; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, bend, crouch or crawl. Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
