Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls• Monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors• Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; and initiating corrective actions• Provide year-end support for external accounting firm, including reconciliations.• Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends• Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions• Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential• Other assigned miscellaneous projects as business dictatesREQUIREMENTS:• 5+ years as a Controller in a manufacturing environment• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working in ERP Systems• Strong cost accounting experience• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines• Ability to work without direct supervision and efficiently manage tasks and time• Strong strategic thinking ability, project management skills, and negotiating skills• Strong skills in leadership, communication, initiative, decisiveness, planning, and organization• Flexible team player attitude• Ethical ConductSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for the supervision and management of accounting employees. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting or Finance preferred• Five plus years’ experience in a controller or senior level finance position preferred• Five plus years’ in a manufacturing environment with cost accounting experience requiredCERTIFICATES: CPA preferredLANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
