Qualifications Minimum Education Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Medical technology, Microbiology, Epidemiology, or other related field; and have completed specialized training in infection prevention and control Required Skills Licenses: RN, current license in the state of Georgia Required Skills Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Minimum Work Experience Specialty training in Infection Prevention and Control through accredited continuing education and/or certification Infection Control experience of 1 year preferred. The Infection Control Practitioner will be responsible for the coordination of the multiple facets that make up the Infection Prevention Program at St. Francis-Emory 2. Ongoing assessment and development of programs, policies, procedures and forms to address the Infection Prevention needs of employees, volunteers, contract workers, independent contractors, physicians, registry workers and students in accordance with the guidelines established by the regulatory agencies.
