Have earned national certification as an FNP nurse through either the ANCC or the AANP, nurses must complete at least a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) through a program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC). Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness and injury.
