HR Virtual Recruiter Overview


Human Resource Virtual Recruiter jobs are much more complex than one might think. HR Virtual Recruiters, just like Recruiting Coordinators, are responsible for conducting all of the recruiting, pre-employment screening, candidate interviewing and placement of new employees within a business. The main difference between the two roles is how these activities are conducted. HR Virtual Recruiters conduct these activities online and on the phone rather than in person. In addition to bringing in new talent, HR Virtual Recruiters will also be in charge of new hires until their supervisors are assigned.

HR Virtual Recruiter Education Requirements


According to statistics, HR Virtual Recruiters, like most other human resources specialists, are required to have a bachelor's degree in business or human resources. Candidates with additional coursework in disciplines such as marketing and sociology may find greater favor with some companies though this coursework is generally not required in order to qualify for the position. A Human Resources Virtual Recruiter will spend a great deal of time using various technology to communicate with candidates, new hires and managers, so they will need to have an advanced knowledge of computers and other technology. Having exceptional written communication skills is a plus.

Taking a look at job growth for human resources over the next 10 years indicates slower than average growth with demand increasing by approximately 7 percent. There are currently 495,500 people employed as human resource specialists. Statistical data for HR Virtual Recruiters is included in with data on other human resource positions, so specific numbers on employment are hard to find; however, the overall outlook for HR Virtual Recruiter jobs is slightly better than that for traditional recruiting coordinators. The reason for this lies in the fact that many companies are moving toward having a large telecommuting employee base. A similar position would be in Virtual Human Resources.

HR Virtual Recruiters can expect to earn approximately $55,640 a year depending on the size of the employer and the number of years of experience an individual has. There is a tendency for larger corporations to offer better salaries and benefits than smaller firms.
