Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information is a must; Knowledge and understanding of diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism principles and commitment to continue advancing those efforts; Solid knowledge of HR policies and best practices and ability to stay up to date on new policies and best practices in a timely manner; Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and career websites; Excellent communication, organizational and time management sills, must be able to prioritize and plan work schedule, must be a self-starter; Experience in a startup culture preferred; comfortable with ambiguity but self-motivated and proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement, solving problems, and prioritizing efforts; A reputation for responsiveness, thoroughness and reliability; Excellent writing skills a must; An ability to travel between NYeC offices as needed, up to 10% of the time; Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint a must; Proficient in Microsoft Teams, OneNote, Jira, Visio, Asana, DocuSign, LinkedIn Learning, and performance management systems a plus. Assist the HR Director with in-house benefit enrollment and administration for two office locations including but not limited to reconciling benefits invoices, working with new hires to complete open enrollment, annual all staff open enrollment, processing benefit changes in appropriate benefit portals, terminating employee coverage and producing COBRA paperwork.
