BS Engineering degree or equivalent experience; with a minimum 5 years field engineering or related engineering experience with overhaul and maintenance on marine and industrial gears, steam turbines, motors and generator equipment; Ability and willingness to travel up to 85% of the time to various locations in the USA and internationally; Knowledge of GE gears, marine steam turbines, motors and generators with the ability to provide technical direction for overhaul, repair, maintenance, and testing for a range of equipment vintages, sizes, and application types; Strong organizational and communication skills with demonstrated ability to effectively manage people; Desired Characteristics: GE Field Engineering Program or Direct Hire graduate; Maintenance and repair experience on GE and Non-GE marine and industrial gear sets; Maintenance and repair experience on GE and Non-GE motors and generators; Ability to make decisions with regards to completion of tasks and job methods and follow through with results of outcome; Ability to interact and communicate with internal customers (Internal customers may include; Sales, Service, Manufacturing, Engineering, Finance and Management personnel); Ability to execute increasingly complicated assignments, which require considerable engineering skill and creative ability and independent judgment.
