Construction Project Manager Jobs
Construction Project Manager Job Overview
Construction project managers, also known as general contractors or project managers, plan, coordinate and oversee the entire process of construction projects. Construction Project Manager Education Requirements
While it is possible for individuals to find construction project manager jobs that do not require an advanced education beyond the standard high school diploma, these jobs are rare. Most employers want job hopefuls to have at least a bachelor's degree in a field such as construction management, architecture, engineering or construction science. Throughout their time in these programs, project managers learn about project management, building code and law, construction methods and materials, math and statistics.
Construction project managers may be able to find jobs overseeing smaller projects with just an associate degree combined with plenty of work experience, but managers of large projects typically need to have a master's degree in construction management.
Construction Project Manager Job Experience Requirements
Construction project managers who have several years of job experience in construction, project management, architecture or a related field have an increased chance of getting hired for better paying jobs. Construction project managers also receive additional experience on the job as they frequently work under supervision for several months to several years when new.

This is higher than the national average, meaning that individuals interested in finding construction project manager jobs should be able to find them.
