Special Agents are sworn peace officers assigned to the Division of Criminal Investigation who are involved in the monitoring, collection, investigation, and analyzing of various types of criminal activity, including drug trafficking organizations, homicides, sexual assaults, internet crimes against children, bribery, official misconduct, federal firearms violations, kidnapping, embezzlement, interdictions, as well as a multitude of politically sensitive cases and other high-level crimes. Ability to speak to large groups of people, the press, law enforcement administrators, local, state, and federal officials, elected and other government officials, and the legislature.
